CEMENT STYLE
Cement floor tiles select up the gray and "include just the right amount of pattern," says designer Daleet Spector of the understated bath. "And they're cool and fresh on bare toes. The area is lavish but at a really contemporary, understated way."
COLORED GROUT
Gray-grouted Nemo subway tiles line the walls of an apartment's second bath.
MODERN BOHEMIAN
"I love to blur boundaries," says designer Karen Vidal. The pattern relies on a block print, although the tile she chose for this 1970s beach house bathroom is comparable to that of a cement flooring in Spain.
CHECKERBOARD FLOOR
The shower stall of a California guest bathroom is clad in Carrara marble tiles from Stones Unlimited along with the Soho marble tiles are from Exquisite Surfaces.
MOROCCAN BLUE
At a Cape Cod bath, designer Kyle Timothy Blood created a T-shaped carpet of tile at a Moroccan design. "Did you see the way the 'carpet' runs right under the dressing table?" The designer states. The tile and woodwork is from Mosaic House.
